ICE Design is the courtroom acoustic and electro-acoustic consultant for the massive redevelopment of the law courts building at Queens Square Sydney. In total 54 courts have been completed, including the Federal Court of Australia’s Ceremonial Court.
Working with Group GSA+H and Crown Projects, ICE Design has been able to implement acoustic and electroacoustic strategies for the Supreme Court of NSW, Federal Court of Australia and the High Court that have set new benchmarks for Australian courtrooms with respect to subjective sound quality and speech clarity. During of our ongoing site work at Queens Square, we are regularly reminded by staff and practitioners of the ease with which courtroom users can hear and understand what is being said in the courtrooms.
