ICE Design provides integrated consulting engineering services in acoustics, electroacoustics and audio-visual facilities, and specialises in designing environments and technical solutions that support human comfort and speech intelligibility in critical communication situations. Courts and Parliaments are complex acoustic spaces, in which the users have hugely important needs that must be accommodated if the process of justice and governance is to be optimally implemented. For too long, critical listening needs have been trivialised by acoustic and sound system design practitioners.News:ICE Design's work in the Australia/New Zealand region continues to undo this trivialisation, most notably in its recently completed work for Northern Territory Parliamentary Chamber and Main Committee Room. ICE Design is pleased to be invited to be a guest speaker at the "Tribunal of the Future" conference in June 2012, organised by The Council of Australasian Tribunals and the Australian Institute of Judicial Administration. ICE Design has been recently appointed as the acoustics consultant for the new Government Services Precinct in Coffs Harbour incorporating courthouse, police station and government services commercial office space. Glenn’s interest is improving the intelligibility of cinema dialogue and creating more engagement in the overall sound. |
